What will happen over the coming days and weeks is literally anyone’s guess.
Sinn Fein is fielding Pearse Doherty as their negotiating adviser aimed at making a deal happen with enough parties or Independent groups to get Sinn Fein across the line and into government.
But it’s not straightforward, not by a long shot. If anything, it appears that it could be Fianna Fail, Fine Gael and the Green Party getting into bed together.
The only thing certain for now is that no one knows for sure what will happen or who the next Taoiseach will be.
