Whatsapp message being spread across Ireland claims a number of coronavirus cases are in hotels and hospitals – HSE say NO confirmed cases

A whatsapp message is being widely spread across Ireland claiming there’s a “media blackout” on a number of confirmed coronavirus cases in hotels and hospitals around the country – however, it must be stated that the HSE say that that there are no confirmed cases in Ireland at this point.

The text claims there’s confirmed cases of coronavirus in St Vincent’s, the Mater Hospital, Beaumont Hospital and two hotels – one in Dublin and one in Waterford (whose names we will not publish).

The text is reportedly sent from a member of An Garda Siochana and says there’s a “media blackout” on these coronavirus cases.

Over 100 people have been tested and the HSE say that no confirmed cases have been located in Ireland.

It’s been confirmed that at least one case of coronavirus is being treated in an isolation unit in the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.
