There’s a major investigation underway after it emerged that €12,000 went missing from Drogheda garda station in recent weeks.
It is understood that the cash had been seized as part of a separate criminal investigation.
Gardai at the location strongly suspect an inside job is to blame for the theft but no arrests have been made at this time.
