White Christmas now very unlikely as blustery conditions blow in




There will be a series of wind warnings across all of Ireland on Thursday as strong winds are expected to hit the island, reports Breaking News.

Two status-yellow warnings covering all counties in the Republic will start at midnight and will last until 8 pm on Thursday.

Met Éireann has advised that strong north-west winds are likely to cause difficult driving and cycling conditions, and loose objects and debris may be displaced, reports Breaking News.

The forecaster has also warned that high waves are expected in coastal areas of Clare, Kerry, Donegal and Connacht, with possible wave overtopping.

The UK Met Office has also issued a third yellow warning for wind in the six counties in the North.

This alert will start at midnight and will last until 9 pm on Thursday, reports Breaking News.
