Deontay Wilder will get a shot at Tyson Fury’s WBC Championship belt in their trilogy match tonight in Las Vegas following December 2018’s controversial draw and Fury’s win in February 2020.
The trilogy match follows legal wranglings which saw Wilder get his shot ahead of a possible Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury all-British bout.
Since Olkesandr Usyk’s win against AJ, that all-British affair looks unlikely for various reasons at this stage.
Fury is favourite to win tonight’s fight, but write Deontay Wilder off at your peril, he’s the most devastating knockout artist in boxing history with an average knockout of 93%.
The Bronze Bomber says that he will have his handed raised, not from a points win but from a knockout!
The fight will happen around 5am Sunday morning (GTM time) on BT Sport Box Office.
