
The American electorate and the world’s media will be glued to the television tonight as Donald Trump and Joe Biden prepare for the first live debate of the 2020 Presidential Election.
The President and his Democrat opponent will face each other in Cleveland, Ohio, where they each try to win undecided voters the US gears up for one of the most divisive elections in recent history in just 35 days time.
Kicking off at 9PM ET (2AM for Irish viewers), the debate will last 90 minutes and will be split into six 15 minute segments. These are – The Trump and Biden Records, the Supreme Court, Covid-19, the Economy, Race and Violence in Our Cities, and the Integrity of the Election.
Host Chris Wallace, of Fox News, will give the first question of each segment to Donald Trump after both candidates have made their opening statements. The event will be watched by millions across the world, as well as a live studio audience of 60-70 people adhering to strict Covid-19 testing and safety measures.
Another two debates are scheduled between Trump and Biden, as well as another between Vice Presidential candidates
Mike Pence and Kamala Harris.
