Enda Kenny’s desperate bid to enter the history books may yet be delayed, after it emerged that some disagreements remain between Independent TDs and Fine Gael.
There was supposed to be a vote at midday today, but that now seems likely to be postponed either to later in the afternoon, or next week.
Mr. Kenny needs the support of Independents to secure the necessary number of votes to bring his leadership over the line.
It is understood that one of the outstanding issues is turf cutting on bogs.
