A wind and rain warning is currently in effect for 11 counties, as the weather takes a turn for the worse.
Counties Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Waterford, Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo, and Wexford will experience very strong winds and heavy rain throughout the day, with a few bright spells in between. Conditions will be particularly bad around coastal areas and high ground.
The warning will remain in place until 10pm tonight.
The bad news is that very unsettled conditions will remain for most of the week.
