There could soon be 61 supersized wind turbines placed in Dublin Bay which could power up 600,000 homes.
It is understood that RWE Renewables and Saorgus Energy are planning to put the turbines in Dublin Array, on the Kish and Bray Banks.
The turbines which would be 10km off the coast would cost an estimated €1.5bn provided they are approved.
