The US President Donald Trump has again been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize, this time in honour of his work with the governments of Serbia and Kosovo to strengthen peace and economic development.
Swedish member of Parliament for the Christian Democrats party, Magnus Jacobson, announced his nomination on Twitter posting:
“I have nominated the US Gov. and the governments of Kosovo and Serbia for the Nobel Peace Prize for their joint work for peace and economic development, through the cooperation agreement signed in the White House. Trade and communications are important building blocks for peace.”
Earlier this week President Trump was already nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize for his work brokering the peace agreement between Israel and United Arab Emirates which is seen as a major step in normalising the Jewish state’s relationship with the Arab and wider Muslim world.
Former Acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell, who helped bring about the economic normalization agreement between Serbia and Kosovo as a special envoy between the two countries celebrated the nomination saying in an interview with Fox News:
“Donald Trump nominated for a SECOND Nobel Peace Prize for historic Kosovo-Serbia Agreement.
For his merit, I think he has done more trying to create peace between nations than most other peace prize nominees.”
