Arizo Noor, 33, is accused of murdering her 57-year-old mother Karima Noor on August 6, reports Metro.
Police were called to a home in Northumberland Crescent, Feltham, west London, just before 10.30pm following reports of concern for the well-being of a person.
When they arrived, no one was inside, but there were signs of disturbance, reports Metro.
The following day, human remains, believed to be Karima’s, were found in a canal in Bulls Bridge Lane, Southall.
Superintendent Sean Wilson said: “This was a shocking incident and my thoughts are with the friends and family of Karima Nour,” reports Metro.
The accused was remanded in custody after a brief hearing at the Old Bailey on Friday. She will return to the same court on December 1, when she is likely to appeal.
