A woman aged in her 60s who suffered serious head injuries following an assault in a public toilet has sadly passed away in hospital, police have confirmed.
According to reports in the UK, the woman sadly passed away in hospital on Sunday after being assaulted in a public toilet in Yelverton, Devon at approximately 3:15pm on Saturday afternoon.
Although a man had been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, he has sine been released on bail and is being cared for by health officials.
Police say both the man and the victim are known to each other and they are currently treating the woman’s death as unexplained.
