A woman and four children, all believed to be from the same family, have been killed in a knife and hammer attack in suburban Paris.
Police rushed to a house in Noisy-le-Sac on Saturday morning to find two of the victims already dead. The other three passed away within ninety minutes, despite the best efforts of medical responders according to the Mirror. Five other people were found with knife inflicted injuries, three in serious condition. Police recovered a knife and hammer on the scene.
A man found seriously wounded and unconscious on the scene is the suspected perpetrator, and is currently in hospital. Far from the tourist attractions of the city centre, many suburbs of Paris are infamous across Europe for their high levels of violence and crime.
