A woman is in hospital with serious injuries following a stabbing incident in an Irish county on Christmas Day.
The victim, a 51-year-old female, reportedly sustained stabbing injuries near her home in Banteer, Co. Cork, at around 4.30pm on Saturday afternoon.
A man known to the victim has been arrested in connection with this incident.
