The Metropolitan Police reported that a 32-year-old woman who was stabbed at the Notting Hill Carnival is in critical condition in the hospital, reports Breaking News.

A 24-year-old man who was also stabbed but whose condition was unknown and a 29-year-old man who was hospitalised with non-life-threatening injuries were among the three stabbings that the force reported were reported during the annual west London celebrations on Sunday.

There were 15 assaults on Sunday, but no major injuries were reported, and police said that 90 people had been taken into custody.

“Hundreds of thousands of people came to Notting Hill Carnival today to enjoy a fantastic celebration,” a force spokeswoman said, reports Breaking News.

“Our officers have been on duty, carrying out a well organised policing operation to keep people safe.

“Unfortunately, a small minority arrived to commit crimes and use violence.”

According to the police, arrests were made for a variety of suspected offences, such as robbery, violence, sexual offences, possession with intent to supply, and assault on an emergency personnel, reports Breaking News.

Along with drug possession, theft, nitrous oxide possession, and public order violations, suspects were also taken into custody.

After a man was stabbed and knives were found, the force earlier announced that it had been given more search authority to stop more bloodshed, reports Breaking News.
