A woman sustained serious injuries during an assault in Dublin overnight.
Gardai were called to an address in Parnell St. shortly before 3am. On arrival, they found an injured woman. She was rushed to the Mater Hospital for treatment.
The alleged perpetrator, a man in his 30s, was apprehended a short time later.
