A woman who died on an airliner when it encountered turbulence over New England has been named as Dana J. Hyde, who served under the Obama and Clinton administrations and previously served on the 9/11 Commision.
According the Trending Politics, the woman was transported in Saint Francis Medical Centre in Hartford after being transported there by ambulance.
In commenting on the tragedy, the National Transportation Safety Board said it was investigating a “reported trim issue”. This related to adjustments that are made to an airplane’s control surfaces in order to ensure that it is stable and level in flight. They are also interviewing a number of other passengers. Turbulence doesn’t usually result in deaths and are only uncomfortable for passengers.
