A woman was arrested yesterday morning after she drove her car into the gates of government buildings .
It’s not yet known what her motive was or why she directed the car at the garda-manned gate but a source told The Liberal that the woman had “a grudge” against a senior worker in government buildings.
It’s understood the woman told gardai that she wanted to meet the Taoiseach Leo Varadkar.
The incident happened shortly after 10pm and a strong garda response ensued.
An investigation has opened and the arrested woman, who is aged in her 50s, has been released from custody.
