Spanish police say 14 employees at an airport in Tenerife have been arrested on suspicion of baggage theft, reports RTE.
Authorities have confiscated suspected stolen items worth almost two million euros from a group of employees at Tenerife South Airport in the Canary Islands, Spain.
Twenty other employees are under investigation, reports RTE.
Tenerife South Airport is served by airlines such as easyJet, Ryanair and British Airways.
The National Police’s Guardia Civil has opened an investigation after an increase in the number of complaints from passengers about items missing from their luggage, reports RTE.
