Germans tend to do work stuff far better than many of their European neighbours.
It is no surprise that millions of employees across Germany will be able to opt in for a 28-hour work week from 2019, along with substantial pay rises.
IG Metall, a leading labor union in Germany, secured the amazing deal this week.
In practical terms, this means that workers at some of Germany’s top ranking engineering firms will be able to work 28 hours a week for up to two years before resuming the standard 35-hour working week.
Union members are also in line for a massive 4.3% pay rise this April.
