According to Elon Musk, his startup company Neuralink has successfully placed a computer chip for the first time in a human brain, reports Breaking News.
The patient is “recovering well,” according to the business owner.
Neuralink is presently undergoing trials to evaluate the performance of its interface and the surgical robot used to implant the chips. Neuralink seeks to enable individuals with paralysis to operate their electronics, including their smartphone, using just their thoughts, reports Breaking News.
Neuralink claims that the implant’s threads are too small for a human hand to insert; instead, a surgical robot that was created especially for Neuralink performs the task.
“Enables control of your phone or computer, and through them almost any device, just by thinking. Initial users will be those who have lost the use of their limbs. Imagine if Stephen Hawking could communicate faster than a speed typist or auctioneer. That is the goal,” he wrote on X, reports Breaking News.
