
The country is bracing itself for another cold snap today as temperatures are expected to fall over the coming hours ahead.
According to Met Éireann the country will once again be subjected to cold temperatures as snowfall and icy conditions are expected on Sunday.
The national forecaster has issued a status Yellow snow-ice warning for the whole country, which will remain in place until midnight tonight.
Met Éireann say they are expecting accumulations of up to 3cm of snow throughout the day, with Ulster and Connacht experiencing the worst of conditions.
Temperatures are expected to remain between 1-4C throughout the day, whilst they are expected to drop to as low as -2c later on tonight.
