Yellow status warning put in place as strong winds are expected in the Northwest of the country




Met Éireann have issued a yellow status warning for three counties as strong winds are expected in the Northwest of the country.

The warning which applies to counties Donegal, Mayo and Galway, comes as winds are expected to reach between 50 to 60km/hr, with gusts between 90 to 100km/hr.

Met Éireann say the warning which came into effect at 10pm last night will remain in place until 6pm this evening.
