Ireland’s UEFA Nations League has come to fruitless end as Martin O’Neill’s men just about managed to hold on for a scoreless draw in Copenhagen this evening.
In a year to forget for the boys in green Ireland now finish their inaugural Nations League campaign without a win and have been relagated to League C.
The game as whole didn’t see much of an improvement from the Irish as yet again they failed to score and defended without any real threat.
It is now four games since Ireland last scored and in truth they were lucky to get a draw as a rueful Danish side will look back at a number of missed opportunities.
