Young gangs continue rampaging in Dublin, after a Dublin teenager was badly beaten for ‘being from the wrong area’

The issue of gangs of youngsters roaming and terrorizing certain areas of the capital continues, after a Dublin teenager was badly beaten for ‘being from the wrong area’.

The Irish Mirror reports that a gang of up to 12 youths rained punches on a 15-year-old male because ‘he wasn’t from Swords’. The victim suffered a broken nose.

The incident unfolded as the victim and a friend of his exited a music shop in the area. They were soon set upon by a mob and assaulted. It is understood that the perpetrators uploaded some footage of the incident to social media.

Local politicians have warned that an ‘epidemic’ of violence is spreading around Dublin’s coastal towns and spilling elsewhere.
