A man has been taken into custody by detectives probing online content linked to the recent unrest in Northern Ireland, reports RTE.
The 32-yr-old suspect was detained in the Larne area.
He is currently under arrest on suspicion of promoting or aiding criminal activity and for possession of a class B controlled substance, reports RTE.
During a house search in Larne, officers recovered several items including electronic equipment and a small amount of a class B drug.
This arrest comes in the wake of several nights of unrest earlier in the week, which began with major disturbances in Ballymena on Monday, reports RTE.
The outbreaks of violence were sparked by an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage girl in the County Antrim town, and have since extended to other parts of Northern Ireland, including Larne.
Over 60 police officers have sustained injuries as a result of the rioting, reports RTE.
