A young man is in a critical condition, and another one has been left with serious injuries, following an assault in an Irish county.
The victim, a male in his 20s, was found in an unresponsive state on the Dublin Road, Monasterevin, Co. Kildare, shortly after midnight on Sunday. He was rushed to Tallaght Hospital for treatment.
A man in his 50s was taken to Portlaoise Hospital.
