A man in his 20s is in a serious condition in hospital today, after an assault in Co. Kerry overnight.
The incident happened in Castleisland, Co. Kerry.
The victim, who had suffered serious head injuries, was found by passers-by.
The young man was rushed to hospital, and Gardai are now appealing for witnesses to contact Tralee Garda Station on 066-7102300.
