Young man remains in critical condition after e-motorbike collision with a car in Dublin




A young man is in a critical condition following a collision between the electric motorbike he was riding and a car in Tallaght last night, reports The Mirror.

The crash happened on Brookfield Road at around 8:15pm on Friday. The man, believed to be in his 20s, was initially brought to Tallaght University Hospital and later transferred to Beaumont Hospital.

He is reported to have sustained serious head injuries, and his condition remains critical. A technical investigation of the crash site was carried out after the incident, reports The Mirror.

Gardaí are urging anyone who may have seen what happened to come forward and assist with the investigation.

“Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision involving a car and an electric motorbike that occurred at Brookfield Road, Tallaght, at approximately 8:15pm on Friday, 11th July, 2025,” said a spokesperson, reports The Mirror.

“The e-motorbike rider, a man in his 20s, was conveyed to Tallaght University Hospital and subsequently transferred to Beaumont Hospital, where his condition is described as critical. No other injuries were reported. Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information regarding this incident to come forward,” reports The Mirror.

The spokesperson added that anyone who was in the Brookfield Road or Rossfield Avenue area between 8:00pm and 8:30pm and witnessed the crash should speak to investigators.

“Any road users who were travelling in this vicinity at the time, and who may have camera footage including dash cam, are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí,” reports The Mirror.
