The Tánaiste Frances Fitzgerald has revealed today that the Irish Government will happily accept at least 1,100 asylum seekers from Greece by next September.
The news comes after Ms Fitzgerald held a meeting with Greek Prime Minister, Alexis Tsipras earlier today as part of her official visit to the country.
Minister Fitzgerald has also said the Irish Government is more than willing to welcome vulnerable people fleeing war and conflict.
