Yousef Palani is a naturalised Irish citizen. It’s understood that’s he is originally from the Middle East and was granted citizenship here over the last number of years, reports the Times.
A 22-year-old foreign national has been charged with the murders of Aidan Moffitt and Michael Snee in Sligo.
Yousef Palani, who currently lives in Markievicz Heights in Sligo, but is a migrant was brought before the local District Court this afternoon.
He is charged with the murder of Aidan Moffitt, 41, on April 10 in Cartron Heights, Sligo.
Palani has also been charged with the murder of Michael Snee, 58, at City View Apartments in Sligo on April 12.
Yousef Palani, a resident of Markievicz Heights in Sligo, was brought before the local District Court this afternoon.
He is charged with the murder of Aidan Moffitt, 41, on April 10 in Cartron Heights, Sligo.
Palani has also been charged with the murder of Michael Snee, 58, at City View Apartments in Sligo on April 12.
Mr Palani had been questioned by detectives in Sligo since his arrest in the early hours of yesterday morning.
He was taken into custody and will appear before court again on April 22nd.
