The Department of Health has announced a further 1292 new cases of covid have been detected over the past 24 hours.
They have confirmed that a total of 331 people are in hospital across the country with 54 people in ICU.
Along with that, Dr Tony Holohan said that he’s now concerned with the high number of people in ICU and has urged people to be safe over the weekend.
