A three-year-old girl has sadly died following a car crash in County Laois.
Gardaà confirm that the girl was seriously injured in the crash which involved a car in the Fairgreen estate area in Portlaoise at approximately 1:15 pm this afternoon.
It’s understood the child was rushed to the Midland regional hospital in Portlaoise where tragically she later it was pronounced dead.

The scene of the collision is preserved for a Garda forensic collision investigation technical examination.
