Gardai have announced that they’ve launched a murder investigation following the discovery of a woman’s body in an apartment in Cork on Sunday morning.
According to RTE. a post-mortem was carried out on the woman’s body with Gardai saying that the case is now a murder investigation.
A man aged in his 20s has been arrested in connection to the woman’s death.
The woman’s body was discovered at 6.30am at a property in Liberty Street in Cork city.
The woman, aged in her 20s, has been named as Bruna Fonseca and was originally from Brazil.
RTE reports that she had been living in the area for some years and worked in a local hospital.
