Gardai say they have managed to obtain two large water cannon trucks from the PSNI this evening.
They say that they have the cannons on hand if they need to use them to bring large crowds in Dublin city centre under control.
It’s understood that there is a large garda presence in Dublin city centre this evening – but as of this time, there are no crowds gathering in the city and no talk on social media of a gathering taking place tonight.
