Gardai, who are investigating the disappearance of Deirdre Jacob and other women who disappeared in Leinster more than twenty years ago, started an extensive search of a location in Co Kildare over the past two weeks.
The search of a dense forest near the Usk Little area near the Wicklow District border was undertaken based on credible information which was revealed during the ongoing murder investigation and review of previous interviews and evidence.
However, sadly today, gardai have announced that the search found new no evidence in relation to Deirdre Jacob.
