The government has announced plans to shut off all airspace to Russian airline carriers amidst the ongoing crisis in the Ukraine.
It’s understood that there will be a short lead in time for the move to happen but it follows the UK’s announcement on Friday.
There are currently no direct routes from Ireland to Russia but that was set to change from May when a Dublin to Moscow route was due you be started.
