Irish health authorities have reported official figures that say that there have been 4,667 new infections confirmed in that period of time.
There currently are 504 people in hospital with severe coronavirus-induced disease. It’s not known how many of these are fully vaccinated.
It’s understood that 109 people are in ICU around the country.
Dr Tony Holohan said he remains very concerned about the situation and how it’s unfolding.
It’s understood that this is one of the lowest numbers in recent weeks – just as the government have imposed more draconian restrictions on the Irish people.
