Martin not happy as unvaccinated people are still getting into places, claims ESRI data

The top professor at the Economics and Social Research at the Institute for Economic and Social Research said his research suggests that more unvaccinated people visit pubs and restaurants than meets the eye.

ESRI professor Pete Lunn said he found that if you take the percentage of the population that visits a cafe, pub or restaurant each week or day, the percentage of unvaccinated people who walk in is “something more than half of the proportion of people vaccinated ”.

Speaking to Claire Byrne on RTÉs Today, she said that unvaccinated people don’t go to pubs and restaurants as often as vaccinated people.

“But they are doing so more than half the amount, and in pubs and restaurants a bit more again,” he said.

It’s understood that the Taoiseach Micheal Martin is not happy with the findings and even earlier blamed the unvaccinated for jeopardizing society as a whole.
