Arguably one of the main reasons why there’s peace in Northern Ireland today, the former SDLP leader John Hume’s death was announced on Monday. He was 83.
Sadly, after a short illness his beloved wife Pat passed away on Thursday, her family have confirmed.
Tributes have been paid by politicians both north and south of the border.
