Legendary Irish-born actor Michael Gambon has sadly died peacefully in hospital aged 82, his family has confirmed.
Gambon was born in Dublin’s Cabra, won four TV Baftas, and is known for his vast amount of work across TV, film, radio and theatre over a career spanning five decades.
In recent years he also played Albus Dumbledore in six of the eight Harry Potter films.
He’s legendary appearance on Top Gear gained him his own cover on the show’s racetrack, known as Gambon’s corner.
