A man aged in his 20s has been arrested by gardai in relation to the crash in Bundoran, Co Donegal, in which saw 9-yr-old Ronan Wilson sadly die.
The crash happened around 9.20pm on Saturday night on Atlantic Way.
Ronan Wilson, from Kildress in Co Tyrone, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Traffic diversions remain in place and the scene has been preserved for a technical examination.
It’s understood that a post-mortem examination will be carried out at Sligo University Hospital.
Gardaí have confirmed that the man was arrested on Sunday afternoon in relation to the crash and is being questioned at a garda station in Donegal.
They say that they have seized a vehicle in connection with the investigation which will undergo a technical examination.
