Met Eireann has upgraded its weather warning to Orange as Storm Barra brings heavy rain and winds of up to 130km/h.
Five counties -Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, and Galway- are expected to see the worst conditions.
The warning kicks in at 6am on Tuesday, and will remain in place for 24h.
