?BREAKING: New NPHET could be setup as Irish health authorities announce 21,098 cases of covid

NPHET may have been shut down but there’s been talk that a similar organisation could be setup to tackle the surge that Ireland is currently experiencing.

Irish health authorities have reported that there have been 21,098 new infections confirmed in that period of time.

Of those, some 7,038 are PCR tests with 14,060 positive antigen tests.

It’s understood that Ireland’s chief medical officer Dr Tony Holohan is still advising the government on the situation.
