The Department of Health has announced a further 2180 new cases of covid have been detected over the past 24 hours.
They have confirmed that a total of 406 people are in hospital across the country with 71 people in ICU.
It’s understood that some members of NPHET believe that the planned reopening on October 22nd is now not looking good due to the high daily case numebrs.
The number of cases continue to hover well over 1500 a day but the numbers are thankfully dropping fast with normality hopefully on the horizon.
