NPHET has recommended that the government remove all requirements for mandatory mask wearing.
The use of face coverings should end and will apply in schools, public transport, taxis, retail and public offices. It’s understood that mask wearing will continue for now in health care settings and hospitals.
Public health officials are now clearly very happy with the situation in relation to how covid is. It reviewed vaccination uptake and the projected outlook, which now looks excellent.
