In what can only be described as an absolute car crash interview on RTE’s Six One News, the Tanaiste Leo Varadkar was forced to apologise a number of times over this attendance at Katherine Zappone’s hotel party that happened in the Merrion Hotel where 50 people attended.
The vast majority of people are saying that Varadkar broke his own government’s guidelines by attending the hotel’s party.
He said that the regulations were not clear and that they were ambiguous – even though he made up the regulations himself along with Micheal Martin and the government.
There is more and more pressure on Leo Varadkar over his attendance at the party, it’s obvious that some PR agent declared that Varadkar should try and spin his way out of it, but by the looks of the interview – the only thing he did was spiral out of control into much further trouble.
