?BREAKING: Test centres reopen as Irish health authorities report 6,735 infections over the past 24h




Test centres have started to reopen around the country today and have reportedly long queues of people wanting to get tested.

He said that people should stay at home and avoid going out over Christmas and that they must only meet people on Christmas Day itself.

Leo Varadkar said that nothing can be ruled out in relation to further restrictions or a lockdown being enforced over the next number of weeks.

Irish health authorities have reported official figures that say that there have been 6,735 new infections confirmed in that period of time.

There currently are 461 people in hospital with severe coronavirus-induced disease. It’s not known how many of these are fully vaccinated.

It’s understood that 91 people are in ICU around the country.

Holohan said that people need to come together to flatten the curve again this year.
