Ireland’s Chief Medical Officer is said to be extremely concerned with the high number of people in hospital around the country with covid.
The Department of Health have confirmed that there has been 2,193 Covid-19 cases over the past 24 hours.
In an announcement the Department also confirmed that there are currently 513 people in hospital with Covid-19.
They also say there are 97 people in ICU across the country with the virus.
It’s understood that the number of people in ICU is now of most concern to NPHET claiming that the health service is now under pressure again.
