The Department of Health have confirmed that there has been 2,125 new Covid-19 cases reported over the past 24 hours.
In an announcement the Department also confirmed that there are 259 people in hospital with Covid-19.
They also say there are 54 people in ICU across the country with the virus.
It’s understood that Ireland’s CMO Dr Tony Holohan is concerned with how the outlook on cases continue to hover around 2,000 cases per day.
